David J. White, Jr. and Charles B. Reasor, Jr. formed the firm in 1981 by deciding to leave their positions as partners in one of Nashville's large firms and then yoking themselves together as partners in White & Reasor. Mr. White had built a substantial insurance defense practice, and was well known as an excellent trial technician and counselor. Mr. Reasor had established his reputation as one of the city’s premier commercial real estate lawyers.

During the 1980’s, the firm developed its reputation as a commercial real estate “boutique” by consistently delivering prompt and excellent services to a number of regional real estate syndication companies. As a direct result of that work, White & Reasor steadily expanded its practice into other compatible areas, including banking, corporate representation, mergers and acquisitions, business litigation, commercial workouts and creditor bankruptcy representation. At critical junctures, the firm has added partners whose practices and personalities both filled the needs of our clients and matched well with the other lawyers in the firm.
