John Stone has practiced law in Nashville since 1984. He joined White & Reasor, PLC in 2001.
Mr. Stone’s practice involves the formation and representation of corporations, limited partnerships and limited liability companies, the acquisition and sale of businesses, and the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposition of commercial real estate projects. He represents an assortment of individuals, families and privately-held companies.
Mr. Stone is a native of Shelbyville, Tennessee. He earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University (B.A., cum laude, 1976) and his law degree from Emory University (J.D., with distinction, 1979). While in law school, Mr. Stone was both Order of the Coif, and Notes and Comments Editor of the Emory Law Journal. He is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations.
Mr. Stone has been actively involved in Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc. for a number of years, and he currently serves as that organization’s Vice Chairman. For relaxation, he enjoys gardening and reading and is an avid week-end golfer.
