John Baird has been with the firm since 1986. Prior to that time, Mr. Baird was real estate counsel for a regional real estate syndication company based in Nashville. He is primarily involved in commercial real estate transactions and other commercial transactions.
Mr. Baird’s real estate practice involves the acquisition and disposition of residential apartment complexes and buildings, shopping centers, office buildings, and raw land. Mr. Baird also represents individuals and companies in the development and the conversion of condominium projects and planned unit developments. He represents a major title insurance company in dispute resolution matters.
Mr. Baird is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (B.A., 1973) and the University of Memphis School of Law (J.D., 1977). He is an Instructor in Real Property Law at The Nashville School of Law.
Mr. Baird is a past Chair of the Tennessee chapter of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America. He is an avid bicyclist and has completed several century rides, usually on behalf of the Team in Training program of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America.
