Charlie Reasor joined the firm in 1999 and serves as its secretary. He practices primarily in the areas of commercial transactions, real estate, and insolvency.
Charlie is experienced in various aspects of commercial transactions, particularly those involving real estate. He represents clients in the acquisition and disposition of apartment complexes and industrial, office, and retail properties, in the financing of such transactions, and in the leasing of such properties. His experience also includes representing private equity investors in the acquisition of distressed real estate assets and assisting commercial lenders in resolving development issues in mixed use real estate projects.
His insolvency practice involves representing clients in restructurings, reorganizations, and liquidations in and outside of bankruptcy. Outside of bankruptcy, he represents borrowers and lenders in workouts, the restructuring of credit facilities, and the liquidation of collateral, and in bankruptcy cases, he represents creditors in business reorganizations and liquidations.
Charlie is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (B.A., 1990), the London School of Economics and Political Science (Dipl., 1991), and Vanderbilt University School of Law (J.D., 1999). He is AV® rated in Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized in the area of real estate in Mid-South Super Lawyers magazine. Before attending law school, he worked at King’s College, London and as a commodity and financial futures broker.
Charlie and his wife have two boys.
